"Man impaled by bike’s handlebars says accident ‘happened so fast’ 45-year-old Dane Phillips was involved in a freak crash and suffered horrific injuries, when he was impaled on his own handlebars. Phillips' mountain bike was sent flying 10 feet into the air when he was hit by a car while running errands.
