नई दिल्ली ने रविवार को उत्तर प्रदेश के मुजफ्फरनगर में हुई का समर्थन किया। कांग्रेस नेता और पार्टी महासचिव प्रियंका वाड्रा ने भी महापंचायत के समर्थन के ट्वीट किया और केंद्र सरकार पर निशाना साधा। राहुल ने कहा, 'गूंज रही है सत्य की पुकार तुम्हें सुनना होगा, अन्यायी सरकार।' कांग्रेस महासचिव वाड्रा ने कहा कि किसानों की हुंकार के सामने किसी भी सत्ता का अहंकार नहीं चलता। उत्तर प्रदेश और पड़ोसी राज्यों के हजारों किसान रविवार को मुजफ्फरनगर में ‘किसान महापंचायत’ के लिए एकत्रित हुए, जिसका उद्देश्य उनके अनुसार ‘देश को बचाना’ है। इस महापंचायत का आयोजन उत्तर प्रदेश के महत्वपूर्ण विधानसभा चुनावों से कुछ महीने पहले किया गया। कार्यक्रम संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा (एसकेएम) द्वारा मुजफ्फरनगर के सरकारी इंटर कॉलेज मैदान में केंद्र के कृषि कानूनों के विरोध में आयोजित किया गया। प्रियंका गांधी ने भी महापंचायत के समर्थन में आवाज उठाते हुए कहा, 'किसान इस देश की आवाज हैं। किसान देश का गौरव हैं। किसानों की हुंकार के सामने किसी भी सत्ता का अहंकार नहीं चलता। खेती-किसानी को बचाने और अपनी मेहनत का हक मांगने की लड़ाई में पूरा देश किसानों के साथ है।' कांग्रेस के मुख्य प्रवक्ता रणदीप सुरजेवाला ने कहा कि किसान का खेत-खलिहान चुराने वाले देशद्रोही हैं। कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ नेता सचिन पायलट ने महापंचायत का समर्थन करते हुए विश्वास जताया कि संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा के नेतृत्व में आयोजित महापंचायत किसानों के हितों को मजबूती देने वाली साबित होगी। पायलट ने हिंदी में किये एक ट्वीट में कहा, 'मुझे भरोसा है कि संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा के नेतृत्व में आयोजित #मुजफ्फरनगर_किसान_महापंचायत किसान हितों को मजबूती देने वाली साबित होगी। शांतिपूर्ण किसान आंदोलन की दिशा में ये महापंचायत मील का पत्थर साबित हो- ऐसी मेरी शुभकामनाएं हैं।' कई किसान संघों का समूह, संयुक्त किसान मोर्चा पिछले साल से कृषि कानूनों के खिलाफ आंदोलन का नेतृत्व कर रहा है। सरकार ने इस बात पर जोर दिया है कि इन कानूनों ने किसानों को अपनी उपज बेचने का नया अवसर दिया है और इस आलोचना को खारिज किया है कि उनका उद्देश्य न्यूनतम समर्थन मूल्य व्यवस्था और कृषि मंडियों को समाप्त करना है।
