नागालैंड सरकार असम के एनआरसी की तर्ज पर अपना एक इंडिजेनस इनहैबिटेंट सर्टिफिकेट्स ऑफ नागालैंड (आरआईआईएन) लेकर आ रही है। राज्य सरकार का उद्देश्य स्थानीय निवासियों की सूची तैयार करने के साथ-साथ अयोग्य व्यक्तियों को स्वदेशी निवास प्रमाण देने से रोकना है। सरकार की आधिकारिक टीम गांव और वॉर्ड में जाकर लोगों की जानकारी इकट्ठा करेगी इसके साथ ही सरकारी रेकॉर्ड से भी जानकारी ली जाएगी। 10 जुलाई से शुरू हो रही यह प्रक्रिया 60 दिन तक चलेगी।
