नई दिल्ली पूरी दुनिया में कहर बरपाने वाला कोरोना भी आने वाले समय में सामान्‍य सर्दी-जुकाम जैसा हो जाएगा। यह कहना है इंग्लैंड की नेशनल हेल्‍थ सर्विस (NHS) के संस्थापक अध्यक्ष सर मैल्कम ग्रांट का। यह और बात है कि इसमें अभी वक्त लगेगा। कारण है कि अब भी कोरोना वायरस के बारे में ऐसा काफी कुछ है जिसके बारे में जानकारी नहीं है। यहां एक कार्यक्रम में शिरकत करते हुए ग्रांट ने कहा कि भारत को स्वास्थ्य सेवा क्षेत्र में पहले से ही किए जा रहे कार्यों में एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव लाने का मौका मिला है। उन्होंने कहा, 'भारत में जटिलताएं बहुत अधिक हैं। कारण है कि एक राज्य से दूसरे राज्य में सामाजिक स्थितियां अलग होती हैं। स्वास्थ्य सेवा में निवेश हमेशा सरकार से नहीं आता है। निजी क्षेत्र भारत में स्वास्थ्य देखभाल प्रणाली में बदलाव और सुधार का वाहक हो सकता है।' पुणे की सीरम इंस्‍टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया (SII) कोविशील्‍ड वैक्‍सीन की मैन्‍यूफैक्‍चरिंग कर रही है। इसे ऑक्‍सफोर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी और एस्‍ट्राजेनेका ने मिलकर बनाया है। ग्रांट ने जोर देकर कहा कि आगे चलकर लेटेस्‍ट टेक्‍नोलॉजी का इस्‍तेमाल कर जल्‍दी डायग्‍नोसिस ही रोग से लड़ने में अहम होगी। यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ यॉर्क के चांसलर ग्रांट ने कहा कि कोविड-19 भी आने वाले समय में सामान्य सर्दी-जुकाम जैसा हो जाएगा, लेकिन इसमें अभी वक्त लगेगा। कारण है कि 'अभी भी कोरोना वायरस के बारे में ऐसा काफी कुछ है जिसके बारे में हमें जानकारी नहीं है।' वह बोले, 'यह अभी भी एक भयानक महामारी है। अमेरिका में अभी भी हर सप्ताह 53,000 लोग इस घातक वायरस के कारण जान गंवा रहे हैं। यूरोप में मामलों की संख्या काफी अधिक है। हालांकि, अस्पताल में भर्ती होने वालों और मृतकों की संख्या में कमी आई है।'
